A hot summer's day within the city of Berlin can be very stressfull. So why not take a tour to one of Berlin's biggest lakes? If you go by bike, you can reach "Tegeler See" in less than one hour from Berlin-Mitte.
On the western shore of the lake you find several sandy beaches. The lake also offers opportunities for watersports such as sailling or banana-boating. Those who don't like swimming, can take a walk in the nearby forrest "Jungfernheide", which seperates the lake from Berlin Tegel airport.
In the north-western area of "Jungfernheide" you find another little lake, called "Flughafensee". It is located directly beside the airport. While swimming you can watch machines go up or down.In the evening I recommend a chill-out at the river spree beside "Bode Museum". A charming wooden bar offers drinks and pizza and you can sit under palm trees in the middle of historic buildings.
